The Torres Quevedo 2023-2024 call for grants, for the State Program to Develop, Attract and Retain Talent, has been published

The grants, within the framework of the State Plan for Scientific, Technical and Innovation Research 2021-2023, have a total budget of €20,100,000

Objective:

To promote the professional career of research staff, as well as to stimulate the demand in the private sector for personnel prepared to undertake R&D plans and projects, and to help consolidate newly created technology companies.

Total budget:

20,100,000€

Beneficiaries:

Companies (including “spin-offs” and JEIs), technology centers, technological innovation support centers, business associations and science and technology parks.

Type of help:

Grant, on a competitive basis, lasting three years. The amount of aid will be determined according to the cost of hiring (the sum of the gross compensation plus the Social Security business contribution), the type of project and the type of entity.

The maximum intensity of the aid is defined in the following table:

Up to three people may be proposed, both new contracts and contracts already in force at the time the application is submitted.

Main requirements:

  • There can be no employment relationship with the entity or with any other shareholder or socially related entity between February 24, 2022 and February 21, 2023, inclusive.
  • It is a requirement to have this university degree at the time of submitting the application, by any Spanish or foreign university. In other words, that the defense of the doctoral thesis has occurred and you can provide the certificate of the thesis or the proof of payment of the fees for obtaining the doctorate degree.
  • The duration of the R&D activity must cover the three expected years of the aid.
  • The start date of the project or action must be after the deadline for submitting applications: February 13, 2024. The start date indicated in the application application must match the start date that appears in the project report (either in the text or in the schedule).
  • State aid must have an incentive effect, that is, it must cause a change in the behavior of the beneficiary entity that, as a result of the aid, increases the level of R+D+i activity, quantitatively or qualitatively.
  • The contract must be indefinite and full-time.

Eligible expenses:

Personnel expenses derived from hiring, understood as such cost, the sum of gross compensation plus the business contribution of Social Security.

Required Documentation:

  • The certificate of registration in the corresponding register of business associations, when the requesting entity is a Business Association.
  • The business plan, for companies created in 2021 or later.
  • The express authorization when the requesting entity delegates the management of the request to another external entity, using the model collected on the website of the State Research Agency.
  • And finally, closed and audited accounts (or approved at least by the entity's administrators) for the last two years (2021 and 2022), only in the case of business entities that have no obligation to register their accounts in the Mercantile Registry, or do not have any of these accounts registered in that registry.

And, for each proposed person:

  • The project of the R&D activity to be carried out by the proposed person.
  • Your Abbreviated Curriculum Vitae (CVA).
  • And if the proposed person participates in the corresponding shift, a document proving a degree of disability equal to or greater than 33%.

  • Impact on the scientific activity of the destination center or on the entity's R+D+I services and incentive effect. 0/30 points
  • Impact on the candidate's education, employability or academic and professional career. 0/20 points

From January 23, 2024 to February 13, 2024 at 2:00 p.m.
