The sixth edition of Advanced Factories, which will take place from 29 to 31 March 2022 at the CCIB in Barcelona, will bring together 17,000 industrial professionals looking for solutions that can increase their productivity.
Context
Recently, the manufacturing industry has been affected by the supply crisis that has occurred in recent months. This situation has highlighted the need for companies belonging to the Spanish manufacturing industry to reduce their dependence on suppliers of microelectronic components from foreign markets and bet on local production of the same.
Along the same lines, the congress will focus on analyzing and debating the The fundamental role played by automation, digitalization and Artificial Intelligence currently, acting, on many occasions, as key elements to face the current challenges of the industry. Another of the key issues to be addressed by those attending the congress will be sustainability and Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), with the objective of how to achieve that the carbon footprint generated by the industry tends to zero.
Thus, the more than 350 exhibiting firms will present their latest solutions in, among others, industrial automation systems, artificial intelligence, Digital Twin and cybersecurity.
Industry 4.0 Congress
The Industry 4.0 Congress is, together with the Advanced Factories, the largest European congress on industrial innovation. During the current edition, it will bring together 280 experts focused on responding to the main challenges currently facing the industry, such as: relocation, the use of Artificial Intelligence and automation, cybersecurity and sustainability; as well as existing actions and strategies focused on reducing the impact that industrial activity currently generates on the environment.
In addition, given the opportunity that Artificial Intelligence and data analytics represent for industrial companies, the Industry 4.0 Congress will have a forum focused, specifically, on dealing with applications of Artificial Intelligence in industry.

Advanced Factories attendees will be able to take advantage of the opportunity to carry out networking activities through events such as the Leadership Summit, the Factories of the Future Awards 2022, the Industry Startup Forum, the Additive Manufacturing Forum or the Talent Marketplace, which the organization has prepared for this purpose.
