Intelectium Success Story: IMHOIT wins an Enisa Digital Entrepreneurs

Founded in 2021, IMHOIT is a pioneering startup in the development of data security solutions and IoT technology.

Since its founding in 2021, the IMHOIT team has focused on the development of security software and hardware that guarantees the integrity of critical data, contributing to operational efficiency and risk mitigation in various industrial sectors.

IMHOIT works to ensure that the data captured and transmitted by IIoT sensors is secure, authentic and immutable, allowing for informed business decisions protected against cyberattacks.

IMHOIT is facing a technological landscape where cyberattacks on IIoT devices have grown exponentially. With an increase of 300% in 2019 and recent reports that indicate a tripling of attack traffic, reaching 3 billion events in half a year, the company recognizes the urgency of protecting data in an increasingly vulnerable environment and with critical operations that increasingly rely on data for automated and real-time decision-making. Its solutions are designed to prevent data manipulation and maintain authenticity over time, vital for creating trust in operations of the increasing variety and complexity of both IIoT devices and all the software and hardware equipment linked to data, crucial in industries as varied as health, manufacturing, finance and energy.

One of the developments that IMHOIT highlights is “Safe LION”, an advanced system for preventing thermal overflow in lithium-ion batteries, which has reached level TRL 7. This innovative project won first place in the DigiPrime 2023 Consortium, demonstrating IMHOIT's ability to create cutting-edge technologies with practical applications in security and energy efficiency.

The company's mission is to ensure that decisions based on data are accurate and immutable over time.

Achievements and future projections

Despite its short lifespan, the company has emerged as a leader in innovation in emerging technologies, recognized for its participation in awards and calls.

IMHOIT has not only stood out for its technological solutions, but it has also received important awards, being part of the private consortium of the call MSCA Doctoral Network 2024, ensuring both funding for a doctoral student from a prestigious university in the European Union, and the development of sensors to feed predictive models on the impact of waste resulting from certain mining projects. This achievement underlines IMHOIT's excellence in research and its commitment to training and developing new talent in the field of IIoT technology.

International Expansion and Growth Prospects

With a view to strengthening its global presence, IMHOIT plans to open a new subsidiary in Dammam, Saudi Arabia, under the name of IMHOIT MENA, in the second half of 2024. This strategic expansion will allow them to penetrate key markets in the Middle East and North Africa, dynamic regions with a growing demand for secure IIoT solutions. It currently has a commercial representation in Dubai and Abu Dhabi, responsible for laying the foundations for the opening of a subsidiary in the United Arab Emirates in the first half of 2025.

IMHOIT develops each project based on the result of an initial consulting phase, which provides important contextual information about the weaknesses that must be strengthened and, therefore, secured.

Its B2B business model is adapted to the specific needs of each customer, offering customized solutions that guarantee operational efficiency and safety.

The innovative solution offered by IMHOIT is designed to address a global problem, positioning the company on a path of significant growth and expansion. This ability to impact a global problem not only underlines the relevance and urgency of IMHOIT solutions, but also highlights their potential to adapt and respond to diverse needs and contexts at the international level.
