EIT Raw Materials Booster is a financial aid of the European Union from to 200,000€ for startups or SMEs that offer sustainable solutions for the raw materials sector. The objective of the EIT RawMaterials is to ensure a sustainable supply of raw materials by promoting innovation, education and entrepreneurship in all European industrial ecosystems.
In addition to funding and personalized services, the selected companies will also join the IET RawMaterials partner network to participate in networking events and gain visibility through network channels.

What does EIT Raw Materials Booster Call offer?
Booster Call allows companies to accelerate and facilitate:
- A technological challenge to bring a solution to the market
- Entry into the market with financial resources for a specific target segment or market.
- The diversification of the product portfolio, adapting products or new product features to address a specific need.
What are the themes of Booster Call?
The basic elements for achieving the objectives of the European Green Deal are minerals, metals and advanced materials. The grants are to support new companies to turn raw materials into a strong point in Europe. The themes of EIT Raw Materials Booster are:
- Circular economy
- Replacement of critical and toxic materials in products and to optimize their performance
- Recycling
- Mineral and metallurgical processes
- Mining of the future
- Exploration of new minerals
Specifically, in Booster Call 2022, we are looking for companies and startups that develop solutions in these 3 areas:
- Commodities and circular companies: Reuse, repair, reprocessing and the collaborative economy.
- Sustainable materials for future mobility: Materials for electrification, materials for lightweight design, composite materials and multimaterials.
- Sustainable discovery and supply: Primary and secondary resources for processing strategic mineral resources in a sustainable manner.
