The budget dedicated to this call is 1 billion euros and the deadline for submitting proposals starts tomorrow, September 22, 2020 and ends on January 26, 2021.The call is divided into 10 areas that, in turn, are specified in 20 specific topics or calls:1. Increasing climate ambition: sectoral challenges 1.1 Prevention and fight against extreme forest fires with the integration and demonstration of innovative means1.2 Climate-neutral and socially innovative cities1.3 Climate-resilient innovation packages for EU regions2. Clean, Affordable and Safe Energy2.1 Innovative renewable energy based on land and offshore technologies integrated into the energy system2.2 Develop and implement a 100MW electrifier that expands the link between renewable energy and industrial applications2.3 Accelerate the alliance for the green transition and access to energy with the African continent3. Industry for a clean and circular economy3.1 Closing the industrial carbon cycle to combat climate change3.2 Demonstration of systemic solutions for the territorial deployment of the circular economy4. Energy and efficient buildings 4.1 Construction and renovation of buildings for greater energy sustainability5. Sustainable mobility5.1 Airports and green ports as hubs for more sustainable mobility and sustainable mobility in general6. From the farm to the fork6.1 Systemic innovations for sustainable food from farm to fork7. Biodiversity and ecosystems7.1 Restoring biodiversity and ecosystem services8. Under these specific calls or challenges launched by the European Commission, it is expected to address the challenges faced by the world's population. European Green Deal, or the European Green Deal, hopes to be an ambitious but achievable plan of action towards a transformation of the European continent so that it can become more climate sustainable and neutral in 2050.Europe believes that innovation has the capacity to accelerate a just and sustainable socio-economic transition with the environment through innovative solutions. Due to the urgency of these challenges, Europe hopes, through the European Green Deal, to obtain tangible results in the short and medium term, in order to bring real benefits to Europeans in their daily lives in the coming months and years.
