The European Commission is working on its proposal for the next Framework Programme that will succeed Horizon 2020 for the year 2021.
To do this, it is taking into account several iExpert reports among which Professor Mazzucato's interest in mission-oriented research and innovation, presented on February 22, 2018, is especially positioned for her interest: “Mission-Oriented Research & Innovation in the European Union - A Problem solving approach to fuel innovation-led growth. The professor's report describes the concept of missions, the criteria for selecting them and the issues to be taken into account for their correct and structured implementation so that the next Framework Program is even more beneficial for European research and innovation. In this context, the EC has also taken the opportunity to launch a referendum (survey) through which it is possible to gather more opinions and ideas for improvement on the missions and challenges that the new Framework Program for European Research and Innovation must contemplate.
