The deadline for applying for these grants ends on February 6 for the Torres Quevedo call and on February 11 for the call for Industrial Doctorates.
Torres Quevedo 2020
If you are a company or technology center and you are thinking of incorporating a Doctor for your R&D projects, the Are you interested in Torres Quevedo 2020 grant.This is a call with a total budget of 15 million euros which seeks to promote the incorporation of this type of profile through grants of 25% to 70% of the wage cost. The intensity of the grant depends on the size of the company and the type of project to be developed by the Doctor:
The maximum fundable salary cost per doctor is 55,000 euros and the minimum is 20,000 euros. The contracted Doctor or Doctors must be dedicated to specific projects for a period of 3 years.
Application Requirements
- To have the degree of Doctor on the date of submission of the application.- Not having previously been employed by the entity that requests the funding.- For the case of Spin-off and JEIs companies, the above requirement will not apply if you have been working with an R&D institution, public or private non-profit that participates in the shareholding or capital of the new company.- At the time of the request, the Doctor will not be able to count on a share in the capital of the entity requesting aid or another shareholder or socially related to it that implies a capacity for effective control, direct or indirect, of the entity.- The Doctor's hiring must be after February 14, 2020 and before 20 business days after the concession resolution.- The Doctor's place of work must be located in Spain.
Industrial Doctorates 2020
Unlike the Torres Quevedo 2020 call, Industrial Doctorates 2020 seeks to promote the training of doctors in companies that participate in an Industrial Research or experimental development project, in which their doctoral thesis will be framed, for a period of 4 years. The project can be implemented entirely in the company or in collaboration between the company and another public or private entity. The budget of the 2020 Industrial Doctorates call has 4 million euros that will be dedicated to grants with minimum intensities of 25% and maximum intensities of 70% of the annual wage cost.
Requirements
- The obtaining of the doctorate degree must take place, in general, during the first three years of the grant. Therefore, the project and the Doctor's involvement with the contracting entity will be obtained gradually. The contract must last at least three years and must be full-time, full-time.
