Advanced Factories will once again bring together more than 27,000 managers and entrepreneurs from the industrial manufacturing sector in search of an industrial and technological partner.
What is Advanced Factories?
Advanced Factories is an annual Expo and Congress for industrial leaders and SMEs looking for solutions in industrial automation, robotics, new 4.0 technologies and 3D Printing, to improve their industrial competitiveness. Along with the Industry 4.0 Congress, it is the largest European congress on industrial innovation. Advanced Factories is an event organized by NEBEXT, a company specialized in professional events focused on innovation and technology transfer. For three days, Advanced Factories will bring together more than 460 exhibiting firms that will show the latest solutions in robotics, automation, integrated production systems, Artificial Intelligence, IoT, cybersecurity, Big Data and data analytics..., with the aim of bringing all these solutions closer to the more than 27,000 industrial managers who visit it every year.
Eight successful editions in Barcelona
Advanced Factories was held for the first time in 2017 at the CCIB in Barcelona and in these seven years it has already managed to position itself as the undisputed leading event in industrial automation and robotics in southern Europe. In the last edition, Advanced Factories took another step by moving to Fira de Barcelona to respond to the high demand of exhibiting companies that wanted to exhibit for years. This change of venue made it possible to double the number of exhibiting firms in an edition that was held in conjunction with AMT — Advanced Machine Tools, the biennial machine tool event for the metal industry that will return in 2025. Now, it returns to Fira de Barcelona to continue promoting industrial competitiveness and contributing to creating a more sustainable, competitive and self-sufficient European industry.
“Since our first edition, we have created the largest industrial community in Spain, bringing together tens of thousands of professionals together with the main players in the industry, technological leaders, professional associations and experts to share knowledge, discover the latest trends and explore the most innovative technologies that are revolutionizing the industry,” he says Victor Blanc, Event Manager from Advanced Factories.
Other events
As part of Advanced Factories, the Industry 4.0 Congress will be held once again, at which 320 experts will share the keys to boosting the efficiency, flexibility and adaptability of production plants: from intelligent manufacturing processes driven by automation, robotics or AI, to connectivity and the diversity of operating formats through virtual reality, artificial vision or digital twin. In addition, it will host different specific forums such as the National Congress of Industrial Estate Managers, the Plant Manager's Summit, the Industrial Cybersecurity Forum, the CIO's Summit, the Artificial Intelligence Forum or the 3D Printing Forum.

Under the motto 'Integrating Automation Systems', Advanced Factories seeks to go one step further in the integration of equipment, automation systems and 4.0 technologies to achieve higher levels of productivity.
“European industrial autonomy will only be achieved by those countries that have an innovative and competitive industry. And that competitiveness involves having our factories highly automated, using robotics, artificial intelligence and data analytics to achieve higher levels of process efficiency. It's time to integrate automation and manufacturing systems, which will help us achieve new levels of productivity,” he highlights Albert Planas, CEO of Advanced Factories.
