Grants for high-impact business investments help to empower Catalonia on the map of preferred locations in Europe for international companies. Within the National Pact for Industry 2022 - 2025, we find this aid in the form of subvention up to 200,000€. Generating new investments is key to creating quality employment and generating more economic activity.
Who can benefit from High Impact 2022?
Companies that can benefit from these grants must have an operational establishment in Catalonia or be in the process of establishing one. They must also meet the characteristics of one of the two lines of projects.
Line 1: High-impact business investment projects for job creation, in the following actions:
- Service centers in the field of information and communication technologies. The minimum creation is 25.
- Supraregional decision centers. The minimum creation is 15.
- Industrial projects. The minimum creation is 15.
- Logistics centers. The minimum creation is 25.
- R+D+i centers. The minimum creation is 8.
Line 2: High-impact business investment projects in fixed assets, in the following actions:
- Fixed assets that incorporate a new activity for the company in Catalonia or an expansion of productive capacity. The minimum accepted expense on tangible and intangible fixed assets is €2,000,000.
- R+D+i centers. The minimum accepted expense on tangible and intangible fixed assets is €500,000.
- Strategic projects for the Catalan economy. The minimum accepted expenditure on productive fixed assets must be €5,000,000 and at least 30 direct jobs must be created.
What are the expenses that can be financed with the aid?
The following expenses may be subsidized.
- Tangible assets: machinery, equipment and laboratory instruments and newly purchased facilities directly linked to the production process and investments that incorporate processes with high technological content to existing equipment
- Intangible assets: Investment in technology transfer through the acquisition of patent rights, licenses, know-how or non-patented technical knowledge and acquisition of software linked to the production process.
