The Agency for Business Competitiveness (ACCIÓ) will launch three grants in the form of grants this month of October, to promote startups and SMEs with an operational establishment in Catalonia.
What types of ACCIÓ grants will be published?
INNOTEC:
It's a grant for R&D projects for companies established in Catalonia that are three years old and that collaborate with one of the TECNIO accredited DTP Public Technology developers (University or CSIC groups and CERCA centers) .This grant from ACCIÓ can finance between 25 and 70% of R&D projects with a maximum duration of 3 years and with a budget of between 50,000 and 200,000 euros. The expenses eligible for this aid are both personnel and external collaborations.
Business R&D Nuclis:
It's a Help with lost funds for Catalan companies that are more than 3 years old, aimed at financing new high-risk technological products or services that respond to market needs. There are two different modalities. On the one hand, the international business R&D centers(collaborative projects in all technological fields between Catalan companies and entities from some of the strategic countries) and ERA-Net sectoral programs (collaborative sectoral projects, between Catalan companies and international entities through the MANUNET III project for advanced manufacturing systems). On the other hand, the local business R&D centers (aid for R&D projects developed by companies with an operational center in Catalonia) .For these projects to be eligible, they must have a budget greater than 150,000 euros (maximum eligible amount) and cannot last longer than 3 years. In connection with these grants, ACCIÓ provides several related services, such as: advice, monitoring, access to tax deductions and project support to the CDTI.
Startup Capital:
Startup Capital It's a non-refundable grant of up to 75,000€ aimed at recently created Catalan startups (less than 18 months old), that have their own technology as a differentiating factor and that are in the initial phase in need of help to access the first rounds of private funding. Some of the requirements necessary to be able to access this aid are that the startup cannot accumulate foreign investment of more than 250,000€ (including public and private funds), the founders must have more than 51% of the shares and the minimum eligible cost cannot be less than 100,000 euros .The minimum amount awarded is 45,000€ and a maximum of 75,000€ per company. The amount of the grant can be up to 75% of the project budget and, if the company requests it, an advance of 80% of the grant will be made at the time of acceptance of the project. The aid will be used to finance actions derived from the business plan, from the administration and management of the company's operations to the development and commercialization of products and services. Actions financed with the help of startup capital can be carried out until July 29, 2022.
