Grants for sustainable and intelligent mobility startups

Grants for startups dedicated to autonomous mobility, electromobility and the decarbonization of the transport sector, offered by CDTI.

Reyes Maroto, the Minister of Industry, Trade and Tourism has announced a aid program for R&D (Research and Development). The CDTI (Center for Industrial Technological Development) will be the body responsible for implementing this initiative within the framework of sustainable and intelligent mobility.

“The objective is to collect in an orderly manner all the initiatives and proposals to achieve 21st century mobility,” said Maroto.

Therefore, the grant program seeks to support research and development projects, mainly industrial research, of a strategic nature and high investment. In relation to mobility, the objective is to help those projects that focus on autonomous mobility and electromobility, and in addition, to facilitate the decarbonization of transport.

“It will have a great dimension and strategic nature, the mission has been defined in the field of sustainable and intelligent mobility and its objective is to facilitate the decarbonization of the transport sector, with special attention to aspects such as autonomous mobility and electro-mobility,” says the Minister.

At the end, Maroto thanked the dealers for their important contribution to social and territorial cohesion, and praised the automotive industry for leading the digitalization processes. However, some criticism also rained in relation to combustion vehicles. “For months we have been sending very clear messages regarding the present and the future that at this point do not allow doubts or misgivings. Clear messages of support for the sector, with accompanying measures included in the Strategic Plan for Comprehensive Support for the Automotive Sector”.
