Intelectium success story: Auravant achieves the maximum amount of ENISA ENTREPRENEURS and closes an investment round of 1.6M€.

Auravant gets €300,000 from ENISA ENTREPRENEURS, the maximum amount offered by the bank through this line of funding.

For Auravant, the funding obtained will provide an impetus for the consolidation of its operations in Spain and Latin America, as well as for business expansion.

Auravant is a technology-based startup founded by Leandro Sabignoso and Nicolás Larrandart, two electronic engineers, who decided to undertake businesses aware of the need to adopt technological solutions presented in 2017 by the agri-food sector in Argentina. For this reason, Auravant was born as a platform for facilitating the adoption of digital agriculture.

In the beginning, the company developed a free-to-use platform, available both in web and mobile versions, that made use of a variable fertilization algorithm through which farmers were able to monitor their crops (both intensive and extensive) and use their resources efficiently. Currently, Auravant offers different monthly plans depending on the services and functionalities that are incorporated into the platform, which are still free to use, so that both individual farmers and large corporations monitor their fields remotely through information provided by satellite images, drone images, georeferenced digital maps, etc.

In addition, the startup develops personalized plans so that employees of large companies in the agri-food sector can work in a collaborative, structured and hierarchical way. Although the company is clear that the platform does not replace the work carried out by the agronomist, the application makes it possible to boost land productivity, through sustainable and innovative precision agriculture with multiple benefits for farmers, those who manage to make decisions based on key indicators and objective data and reduce the costs and environmental impact of their activity. Auravant, which has more than 16,000 users in 68 countries, will use the funds raised to continue growing in Spain and Latin America. The opening of a new office in Brazil will allow them to expand their leadership position in a constantly growing market: technology applied to the agricultural sector is expected to generate a volume of operations of 22.5 billion by 2025.

After the recent investment round, led by GoHub Ventures and which involved the participation of different ecosystem agents such as Kamay Ventures and Addendum Capital, the company is now focusing on “growing in core products and developing extensions to continue integrating with other systems and strengthening agronomic knowledge”. Auravant will use the funds raised, worth 1.6 M€ to improve its online tool and expand the team, thus expanding its turnover. The Auravant team works to promote the development of its marketplace, with extensions created by the users themselves. Along these lines, one of the main new features offered by the platform is the possibility of making use, free of charge, of the extension of N-INTA (the variable nitrogen fertilization model in wheat developed by INTA)).
