The Spanish Chamber of Commerce has made a list of available public grants and subsidies to promote and promote innovative startups and SMEs. In this article we are going to summarize them. We will also classify them by type of aid.In Catalonia there are currently 7 grants in force which aim to encourage the hiring of new workers and encourage entrepreneurship:
- The municipalities of Barcelona, Vic, Abrera and Premià de Adalt are encouraging employment through grants. These grants are primarily aimed at any physical or legal company that wants to hire someone.
- The municipalities of Mataró and Parets del Vallés currently have a line of grants to promote entrepreneurship.
- The city council of Balaguer is subsidizing all commercial premises that want to open a commercial showcase in the center of the city.
- The Agency for the Competitiveness of the company ACCIÓ has an open line of grants aimed at industrial research and experimental development that encourage the carrying out of industrial research activities. These grants are part of the European Horizon 2020 macro program.
In the same way, in Catalonia they are 4 financial grants to promote economic activity in Catalonia.
- In the councils of Barberá del Vallés and Sant Cugat they want to increase self-employment, the creation of microenterprises, SMEs and encourage the social economy through aid.
- In Cornellá de Llobregat and Cambrils, they have allocated funds to help new entrepreneurs financially.
During 2018, 4 calls for public programs will be opened. The programs will be in the form of participatory loans.
- The program Xpande Digital of the Barcelona Chamber of Commerce, which helps to digitally position companies to compete in international markets.
- The city council of Vilanova de Camí will issue a call to companies that want to expand their commercial establishments to help them with this investment.
- MERCAT will help young and innovative companies that need research and are established in Catalonia.
- The Girona Chamber of Commerce will support the innovation of SMEs and the self-employed who are based in the province of Girona. The program aims to promote the implementation of innovative solutions.
