Boston Talks

Organizing entity: Richi Entrepreneurs

Objective: The mission of the Richi Entrepreneurs program is to promote the potential of companies in the field of life sciences, capable of generating a substantially positive impact on society.

What is it? : Online sessions featuring key opinion leaders of the investment ecosystem of Life Sciences from Boston.

During each session, a specific topic is developed so that entrepreneurs who develop technological solutions in the field of biomedicine and medicine can learn to boost their businesses.

In the first session, which took place on June 30th, Dr. Shinichiro Fuse, Managing Director of MPM Capital, provided a series of practical guidelines on how to carry out initial investment rounds. The second session will be attended by Dr. Jeffrey Moore, president of MP Healthcare, who will discuss how a corporate investor, alone or as part of a union, can promote and improve the situation in which a biotechnology or medical technology startup finds itself.

When? : The second session will take place on July 28 at 10 a.m.

Learn and Undertake

Organizing entity: Prevent Foundation in collaboration with ESADE.

What is it? : Free training and support program aimed at entrepreneurs with disabilities, for the start-up or acceleration of a recently created business model or business idea.

The Program takes place in Barcelona and Madrid, in person, from September to March.

The beneficiaries of the Program have access to training, completely free of charge, in entrepreneurship at the Esade Business School (with an estimated total cost of 6,000€ per student).

In addition, the Program, which assigns a tutor to each participant and complements the sessions (fully accessible) with cross-cutting content for entrepreneurship, through the experience provided by managers of prestigious companies; offers support and acceleration once the participants have completed the training program.

The highest-rated projects are eligible for financial aid of €5,000 for their implementation.

Requirements:

  • Have a university degree or training cycle.
  • Have a business idea and/or a recently created business initiative.
  • Have a minimum disability certificate of 33%. The program allows members without a disability certificate to attend.

Registration deadline: Until 03/09/2021 in Barcelona and until 08/10/2021 in Madrid.
