As part of the event IoT Solutions World Congress 2018, organized by Fira de Barcelona, has been invited to the best projects developed around the Industrial Internet of Things (IoT) worldwide during 2018. These projects have been awarded by IoT Solutions Awards, and among them, the awards to Huawei, Ioterop-Synox and Nokia, as winning companies, have stood out. Intel, ARM and Pelin as a collaboratively developed solution that allows you to connect any IoT device to the cloud in a matter of a few seconds.
Regarding the business transformation category, the award went to the Huawei OceanConnect IoV (Internet of Vehicles) platform applied by the automotive firm Groupe PSA. This platform makes it possible to convert traditional vehicles into intelligent vehicles by transmitting data safely, reliably and efficiently to the cloud, transforms the service of car manufacturers, and in turn, contributes to the evolution of intelligent transport. On the other hand, as the best solution for the industry, the non-intrusive industrial monitoring system in nuclear plants based on intelligent cameras that the companies IoTerop and Synox have developed for Électricité de France EDF, the leading generation company, has been awarded and electrical distribution in France. This IoT solution is capable of managing assets and optimizing existing equipment and maintenance tasks in real time at the EDF Golfech nuclear plant. In the most innovative technology category, Nokia's “Sensing as a Service” project has been awarded. It is a platform developed for Cellcom, a regional provider of wireless services in the US, which collects and processes sensor data in real time and sells it in a marketplace managed on the blockchain platform. Among the information collected are environmental data, data for predicting anomalies in the industrial environment, hardware control and monitoring of production plants. The IoT Awards also wanted to award the best of the 10 testbeds exhibited this year at the IoT Solutions World Congress. For the jury, the innovation that deserved the award was the solution developed by Intel, ARM and Pelion for Hitachi and Infosim that allows you to plug in, connect and use any device on IoT platforms in a matter of a few seconds. This prototype is truly innovative because currently, it takes between 20 and 40 minutes to configure an IoT device and provision it in a cloud management system and in most cases it requires prior configuration by manufacturers or manual configuration by a qualified installer. The finalist companies in this edition of the IoT Awards were Serimag; Libelium; Tellmeplus; Witrac; Neuron Soundware; Huawei Technology; Dassault Systèmes and NYMEA.IoT Solutions Awards Gala took place at the Pavilion Italian from the Montjuïc fairgrounds at an event that brought together the main business and technological representatives of the industrial Internet at an international level.
