CDTI's NEOTEC Women Entrepreneurs program has just been published, a line of grants in the form of grants aimed at innovative and technology-based companies that are led by women.
The deadline for applying for aid will begin on February 17 and will remain open until April 19, 2022.
We had been waiting for the publication of this call for months, in fact, at first, it was expected that it would be published at the end of 2021, but in the end it was not until February 2022 its launch. CDTI has intensified its commitment to early-stage projects led by women entrepreneurs with the addition of this new line of grants.
What is the budget for the NEOTEC Women Entrepreneurs call?
5,000,000 euros
Beneficiaries of the aid
Innovative small businesses led by women that are up to 3 years old.
Companies must have a minimum share capital of 20,000 euros.
Features of the NEOTEC Women Entrepreneurs aid
Grants of up to 70% of the budget and with a maximum amount of 250,000 euros per beneficiary
Characteristics of the project to be presented
- The project must have a minimum funding budget of 175,000 euros.
- The project must last 1 or 2 years.
- The projects submitted must begin on January 1, 2023 and may be completed on December 31, 2023 or December 31, 2024, depending on whether they are a year or two in duration.
- The project can be framed in any technological and sectorial field.
- Companies with business models that are mainly based on service to third parties, without the development of their own technology, will not be able to apply for this call.
- Nor can projects be eligible for aid that do not clearly reflect continuity in technology development in their business plan.
Funding of the call
The call will be funded by CDTI's assets. The grants will be incompatible with any other previous or subsequent NEOTEC aid.
What expenses are eligible for aid?
All costs derived from the start-up of a new business project of innovative companies may be financable, provided that they are included in the business plan and are necessary for its development.
Specifically, the following associated expenses may be financed: - Investments in equipment- Personnel expenses- Materials- External collaborations/consultancy- Other costs: rents, supplies, fees and licenses, expenses for applying and maintaining patents and other industrial property rights, insurance and expenses derived from the auditor's report
