Under the name of Pick&Pack for Food Industry, the event specializes in the food and beverage sector to respond, exclusively, to your needs
The new buying habits, resulting from the profound changes that Western society is experiencing in recent years, have transformed the way in which consumers relate to different industries. In this regard, logistics, intralogistics and packaging have become fundamental players in value chains, since they contribute significantly to increasing business competitiveness and achieving the sustainable development objectives established at European level.
Among all sectors, the one that has most supported the establishment of more sustainable packaging, which eliminate new plastic and give priority to the circularity of materials, is the food industry. An example of this are market studies, which reveal that the segment that innovates the most in packaging, according to more than half of consumer managers (52.7%), is fresh food. As far as logistics are concerned, and according to figures from the Ministry of Finance and Public Administration, it represents 10% of Spanish GDP and is expected to grow by 25% in 2023. For this reason, the whole of the 'food industry' also forms a business fabric that is part of the great demand for technologies and tools related to distribution.
In this context, and with the objective of responding to the needs of the sector, Pick&Pack returns in 2024, evolving and becoming at a logistics, intralogistics and packaging event specialized only in solutions for the food industry, under the name of Pick&Pack for Food Industry. And it will do so in Bilbao, from 16 to 18 April 2024, simultaneously with Food 4 Future — Foodtech Expo, the international event dedicated 100% to the food and beverage sector, which in the last 4 years has become the reference event, bringing together 8,372 professionals and purchasing decision makers from 34 countries in its last edition.
Marina Uceda, director of Pick&Pack for Food Industry, highlights that”we specialize to focus on one of the driving sectors of the Spanish economy and which, increasingly, requires technological and sustainable solutions in both packaging and logistics. In this way, we see change as an opportunity, since, on the one hand, food has a lot of potential to stimulate both segments; and, on the other hand, because with Pick&Pack for Food Industry we are emerging as the largest technological event for packaging and supply channels designed solely for the food industry”. Uceda adds that”with this specialization strategy we will be able to attract a higher quality visitor profile and we will offer more networking and business opportunities”.
