Winning companies will be able to access funding of up to €25,000 and expert support in their early stages and in their subsequent growth.

- Entrepreneur Challenge XXI Award for the most innovative companies with the greatest potential to solve the challenges posed.

Beneficiaries: In the case of the Regional Awards for companies with the greatest impact on their territory, microenterprises and SMEs may be beneficiaries, regardless of the sector in which their economic activity is framed.
For their part, companies that present solutions to the following challenges facing society in 2021 and the current economic environment may be beneficiaries of the Entrepreneur Challenge Award:
- SEMILLAXXI: Digital transformation and innovation in the agri-food sector.
- SILVERXXI: Ensure active aging and a long and healthy life through technology.
- BANCAXXI: The digital transformation of the financial sector. -PLANETAXXI: Environmental sustainability, a better planet for new generations.
- CIUDADXXI: The new cities: more sustainable, safe, connected and adapted. -VIVEXXI: Digitalization, new business models and reactivation of the hotel, restaurant, tourism and leisure sector.
Type of help: The 17 Spanish companies, together with the two Portuguese companies, winners of the Regional Award for companies with the greatest impact in their region, will receive financial aid of €6,000, together with, among others, access to an international support program, participation in the Investors Day EmprendedorXXI and specialized support and mentoring.
For their part, the 6 companies that are winners of the Entrepreneur XXI Challenges Awards will receive financial aid of €25,000, and will participate in the Entrepreneur XXI Investors Day. In the same way that the winners of the Regional Award will have access to an international support program and specialized support and mentoring. In addition, those companies that submit their application will have access to 3 training sessions in webinar format on topics such as funding, storytelling or leadership.
Main requirements:
- Be duly constituted as for-profit legal persons with a tax address in Spain or Portugal.
- Be less than 3 years old (applicant companies must have been created or have started their activity after 01/01/2018).
- The role of the founding partners must be relevant, in terms of leading the project, participating as a majority in the capital and dedication concerned.
- Applicant companies must be technologically and digitally based, with high growth potential and scalable and innovative business models.
- Self-employed workers and large companies will not be eligible for help.

In addition, companies that submit their applications for the Awards for the best company in their region will be evaluated based on the relationship and the impact of the company on it.
In the case of companies that submit their applications for the XXI Entrepreneur Challenges Awards, they will be evaluated according to the fit of the proposal, the state of development of the project and the potential for impact on the challenge posed.
