ACCIÓ has announced the bases for Industrial Research and Experimental Development projects, formerly known as Innotec.

The bases for 2022 R&D projects (formerly Innotec) have been published. The call is not yet open, but Intelectium brings you all the details to keep up to date.

Within the context of the National Pact for Industry 2022 - 2025, the line of grants is being promoted in the form of grants for research and development projects led by a Catalan company and whose objective is the progress of technology.

It is understood as industrial research that to acquire new knowledge and skills for the development of new products, processes or services or to significantly improve existing ones. Projects must have a Technology Readiness Level (TRL), defined by the European Commission, between 3 and 4.

Como experimental development we understand: the acquisition, combination, configuration and use of existing knowledge and techniques, of a scientific, technological, business or other nature, with a view to the development of new or improved products, processes or services. Projects must have a Technology Readiness Level (TRL), defined by the European Commission, between 5 and 7. The maximum amount of aid will be 250,000€ per project. Aid intensities range from 25% to 70% of expenses in companies, depending on the type of company. For developers of TECNIO accredited technology, the grant will be 100%.

Who are R&D grants aimed at?

Companies that have an operational establishment in Catalonia and that are at least 2 years old can benefit from these grants. Also to technology developers who have a current TECNIO accreditation.

The aid line is aimed at subsidizing the expenses of:

  • Individual company projects
  • Projects in cooperation between companies
  • Cooperation projects between companies and technology developers with TECNIO accreditation.

Projects can also count on international partners.
