- CDTI has just published Neotec 2021 grants: funding for the start-up of new business projects that require the use of technology or knowledge developed based on research activity.

What type of funding does Neotec provide?
Neotec is a non-refundable grant. For projects that have the minimum contract of a doctor, the grant may be higher than in previous years, reaching 85% of the project budget (max. 325,000 euros) and for the rest of the project the maximum grant will be 70% of the project budget (max. 250,000 euros).
What requirements do you have?
Applicant companies must have a minimum written capital of 20,000 euros and a minimum budget dedicated to the R+D+i project of 175,000 euros. In addition, companies must be older than 6 months and less than 3 years. Companies incorporated between the period of 08/07/2018 and 08/01/2021 would be the companies that could be eligible for this call for grants.
What type of projects can they be used for?
Grants may be allocated to business projects in any sector as long as they have technology as the basis of their strategy. However, business projects based on business models based purely on services to third parties, such as consulting, without the development of their own technology. The projects may have an annual or multi-year duration. They must begin on January 1, 2022 and may end on December 31, 2022, if they have an annual duration, or on December 31, 2023 if the project has a multi-year or two-year duration.
Is Neotec 2021 compatible with other aids?
Yes, Neotec 2021 grants may be compatible with the receipt of other grants from other public or private administrations or entities, both national and international.What costs are subsidised for aid?- Investments in equipment- Personnel expenses- Materials- External collaborations/consultancy.- Other costs associated with the project: rents, supplies, fees and licenses, expenses for applying for and maintaining patents and other industrial property rights, insurance and expenses derived from the auditor's report.
