The grant, of up to €100,000, must be used for actions derived from the execution of the business plan, either the administration and management of the company's operations or the development and commercialization of the company's products or services.
Beneficiaries
Startups with operational headquarters in Catalonia, validly constituted (at least one day before the publication of the call in the DOGC) that have less than 18 months old, at the time of submission of the application.
Type of help
Non-refundable grant without the need for guarantees, granted on a competitive basis, with a maximum intensity of 75% of the eligible expenditure. The maximum aid granted per project will be 99,000€ together with advice from an accredited mentor by ACCIÓ, worth €1,000. Once the aid has been granted, the beneficiary startups will receive an advance of 80% of the total value of the grant.
Main requirements
In order to be beneficiaries, companies must:
- Have its own legal personality, independent of that of its founding partners.
- To have received, on the date of application, prior funding of less than 250,000€.
- Justify a minimum of 135,000€ in eligible expenses.
- Carry out the bankable actions with a maximum limit of 24 months, starting from the close of this call.
In addition, in order to be eligible for Startup Capital 2023 grants, companies must have a entrepreneurial team that has the majority of the capital of the same.
Eligible expenses
- Staff (hired or newly hired) dedicated to the project
- Third party services- Investment in materials and equipment
- Space rental- Development of communication strategies
- Patent application and/or maintenance
- Etc.
Criteria for evaluating requests
In order to be eligible for grants, startups must achieve a minimum total score of 250 points, out of 500 possible, which are distributed as follows:
- Technological Base: Technological progress and the intellectual protection strategy are mainly valued. Maximum score: 200. To be eligible, startups must achieve a minimum score of 100.
- Project Management: Evaluating the entrepreneurial team and the work plan presented. Maximum score: 200. To be eligible, startups must achieve a minimum score of 100.
- Impact of the project: Assessing the impact in economic terms, employment generation and sustainability. Maximum score: 100. To be eligible, startups must achieve a minimum score of 50.

Startups that want to apply for the Startup Capital 2023 call must submit:
- Full and detailed project budget
- Technical report of the project

Startups that want to apply for the funding offered by the Startup Capital 2023 grants will be able to submit their applications until the next May 16 at 2 p.m.
