Objective of aid for the video game sector
Support for the videogame, podcast and digital creation ecosystem, encouraging projects that contribute to any of the following purposes:
- Promote investments that allow the development, production, edition, distribution and/or commercialization of projects in the video game, podcast and other forms of digital creation, as well as the improvement of the quality of their offer.
- Increase employment generation by promoting the development, professionalization and structuring of the sector, as well as encouraging the presence of women in the industry and promoting the achievement of gender equality.
- Increase the visibility of the Spanish video game, podcast and other forms of digital creation in the main international markets of the sector.
- Encourage the responsible and healthy use of new technologies, as well as the defense of intellectual property rights and compliance with the Sustainable Development Goals at the global level.
- Stimulate innovation, entrepreneurship and strategic transformation capacities in the video game, podcast and digital creation sectors.

8 M€.
Beneficiaries
Self-employed, micro, small and medium-sized businesses for profit, of Spanish nationality or tax residence in Spain.
Type of help
Grants, on a competitive basis, of up to 80% of the fundable cost, with a maximum limit of 80,000€.
Main aid requirements for the video game industry:
- Have a cultural and/or artistic character and/or interest.
- Activities and expenses must take place between February 1 and December 31, 2024.
Fundable activities
- Pre-production, production and distribution of video games.
- Pre-production, production and distribution of podcasts.
- Pre-production, production and distribution of other forms of digital creation, including narrative experiences in VR, RA, RX formats, whether interactive or non-interactive, narrative experiences oriented to metaverses and others.
- Incubation, mentoring or acceleration programs for projects related to the previous categories, whether in physical, digital or hybrid format (digital and physical).
- Professional events and cultural exhibitions related to video games, podcasts and other forms of digital creation.

Assessment Criteria
- Adaptation of the planned activity to the achievement of the objectives set out in the call, 0/35 points.
- Economic approach to the project, 0/25 points.
- Feasibility of the project, 0/20 points.
- Cultural interest and quality of the project, 0/20 points.
