SPRI 2021 Grants: Industrial Cybersecurity Program for Basque Companies

Non-refundable grants of up to €18,000 to promote industrial cybersecurity in Basque companies.

The Basque Business Development Agency-SPRI has opened the new 2021 call for its Industrial Cybersecurity Program, to boost the competitiveness of Basque companies in the global market.

The objective of the program, included in the Strategic Plan of SPRI Grants and in line with the Euskadi Basque Country 2030 Agenda, is to promote improvements in the cybersecurity of industrial companies and related services linked to the industrial product-process, especially projects that address the convergence and integration of protection systems against cyberattacks for IT/OT environments.

Type of aid

Grants a non-refundable amount of up to 18,000 €.SPRI will carry out Two payments different for the award of the grant. Initially, the beneficiary company will receive 70% of the value of the grant, while the remaining 30% will receive it once it has submitted the Request for Liquidation and the rest of the necessary documentation.

Beneficiaries

-Industrial and related service companies (technical, design and logistics) linked to the industrial product-process. -Parent companies of the industrial groups and related services linked to the industrial product-process located within the Autonomous Community of the Basque Country.

Main conditions

The total budget of the presented project will consist of the sum of those expenses related to: consulting and/or engineering, hardware and software. In this, the expenses of hardware and software they should represent as Maximum 80% of the entire project and at least 20% of the project must belong to concepts directly related to tasks of consulting and/or engineering.

Eligible actions

Eligible expenses are those related to consulting, engineering, hardware and software, that imply an increase in the level of cybersecurity of industrial companies and reduce risk and vulnerability of the same, in the face of the different types of cyberattacks that exist. Excluded from this definition are those products or services that are part of the catalog of products and services marketed by the beneficiary entity.

Main requirements

-The Activity Center where the project is developed and the eligible activity is carried out, it must be located within the Autonomous Community of the Basque Country.-In those cases in which the beneficiary company has less than 12 months of life On the date of submission of the application for aid, you must submit your business plan.-Los outlays eligible must be earned or invoiced by the beneficiary company starting from the date of the presentation of the request for aid and within the established deadline for the execution of the project.

Deadline for submitting applications

Companies can apply for aid up to 26/11/2021, provided that the 2.5 M euros contemplated in the budget have not been exhausted. More: 14 startups that are revolutionizing the cybersecurity sector
