The IVACE works to, among others, promote and stimulate the competitiveness of companies in the Valencian Community and to attract, promote and maintain investment (domestic and foreign) to projects developed by Valencian startups and SMEs.
Createc CV — Grants for the creation of Valencian technology-based companies
- Objective: Promote technology-based innovative entrepreneurship.
- Type of funding: Non-refundable grant of up to 70% of the project budget. The amount of aid will vary between:
- 30,000 and 100,000€ for companies with less than 2 employees or without billing during the year prior to the request.
- 30,000 and 175,000€ for companies up to 3 years old
- 30,000 and 300,000€ for companies older than 3 and less than 5 years.
- Beneficiaries: Small innovative technology-based companies with headquarters or production facility located in the Valencian Community.
- Main requirements:
- The aid must have an incentive effect, so the expenses must be subsequent to the request for it.
- Innovative companies will be considered to be those that meet at least one of the following requirements:
- To be able to demonstrate that the products, services or processes to be developed will be new and/or substantially improved compared to the state of the art of technology in the corresponding sector. This development must entail a certain technological or industrial risk.
- To be able to demonstrate that, for at least one of the three years prior to the granting of the aid, R&D (Research and Development) costs represent at least 10% of total operating costs.
In the same way, technology-based companies will be considered those whose main activity meets any of the following characteristics:
- It is focused on the exploitation of products or services that require the use of technologies or knowledge obtained from the research activity of the beneficiary company or other companies or research organizations that have transferred the technology to it.
- Both the activity and the business strategy are based on the intensive mastery of scientific and technical knowledge as a competitive factor that enables the development of new products, services or processes for introduction to the market, excluding R&D consulting for third parties.
- Evaluation of the project: Projects must obtain a minimum score of 50 points in order to be eligible for aid. The evaluation criteria, together with the minimum thresholds, established by IVACE are:

Innovate CV
Grants to boost the competitiveness of Valencian companies through the implementation of innovative projects. These projects can be developed in four different actions: InnovateIC, InnovaProd, InnovaProc and InnovaI4.0
InnovateIC
- Objective: Support for the development of innovative solutions for third parties in the fields of information, electronics and communications.
- Type of funding: Grants of up to 45% of the project for small businesses and up to 35% for medium-sized companies.
The projects benefiting from the aid may request an advance of up to 75% for small businesses and up to 50% for medium-sized companies.
- Beneficiaries: Recently created Valencian SMEs or innovative companies, less than 5 years old.
- Main requirements: -The projects must have a minimum eligible budget of 15,000 €.-The aid must have an incentive effect, so the expenses must be subsequent to the request for it. -The applicant company must be in possession of a valid electronic certificate for the entire life of the project. -Subsidized investments must remain unchanged for five years following the payment of the grant.
- Eligible expenses: -Tangible assets-Intangible assets-Own staff-Contracting of external services
- Evaluation of the project: The projects will be evaluated based on pre-established criteria, including:
- Project quality
- Technical viability
- Impact of the project
- Company-specific characteristics
InnovaProd
- Objective: Support for the development and manufacture of new products or for the significant improvement of those already manufactured by the applicant.
- Type of funding: Grants of up to 45% of the project for small businesses and up to 35% for medium-sized companies. The projects receiving the aid may request an advance of up to 75% for small businesses and up to 50% for medium-sized companies.
- Beneficiaries: Recently created Valencian SMEs or innovative companies, less than 5 years old.
- Main requirements: -The projects must have a minimum eligible budget of 15,000 €.-The projects must be framed in one of the following types: Innovation or innovation derived from previous R&D projects.- Companies must have a minimum of 2 workers in their workforce. -The activities carried out must be included in CNAE C10-33. Subsidized investments must remain unchanged for five years following the payment of the grant.
- Eligible expenses: -Consulting and technical assistance-Capital goods, molds and matrices-Software-own-personnel-patents/Industrial property registration.
- Evaluation of the project: The projects will be evaluated based on pre-established criteria, including: Project quality-Technical viability-Project impact-Specific characteristics of the company
InnovaProc
- Objective: Support for continuous improvement and start-up projects and or the readaptation of processes with eco-efficiency criteria.
- Type of funding: Grants of up to 45% of the project for small businesses and up to 35% for medium-sized companies. The projects receiving the aid may request an advance of up to 75% for small businesses and up to 50% for medium-sized companies.
- Beneficiaries: Recently created Valencian SMEs or innovative companies, less than 5 years old.
- Main requirements: -The projects must have a minimum eligible budget of 15,000 €.-The projects must be framed in one of the following types: Innovation or innovation derived from previous R&D projects. -Companies must have a minimum of 2 workers on their workforce. -The activities carried out must be included in CNAE C10-33 and H49-52.-The subsidized investments must remain unchanged for five years following the payment of the grant.

InnovaI4.0
- Objective: Support for comprehensive digital transformation projects of new or existing technologies for the company.
- Type of funding: Grants of up to 45% of the project for small businesses and up to 35% for medium-sized companies. The projects receiving the aid may request an advance of up to 75% for small businesses and up to 50% for medium-sized companies.
- Beneficiaries: Recently created Valencian SMEs or innovative companies, less than 5 years old.
- Main requirements: -The projects must have a minimum eligible budget of 30,000 €.-The projects must be framed in one of the following types: Innovation or innovation derived from previous R&D projects.- Companies must have a minimum of 2 workers in their workforce. -The activities carried out must be included in CNAE C10-33 and H49-52.-The subsidized investments must remain unchanged for five years following the payment of the grant.
- Eligible expenses: -Consulting and technical assistance-Capital goods, hardware, etc.-Software, licenses, etc.-Own staff

Currently, both programs remain closed. The deadlines for applying for the above grants, called by the IVACE , are usually opened annually during the first months of the year.
