During 2017, CDTI financed a total of 1,408 projects, among which, most of the percentage of beneficiary companies have been companies in the Biotechnology, Health Technology and Agrifood sector (28%). It is closely followed by companies in the Industrial Technology and Information Society sector (25%), as well as those in the Energy, Manufacturing and Transportation Technologies sector (24%) and those in the Chemical, Environmental and Materials Technologies sector (23%).What is the CDTI PID funding line?This is a annual call, which is open all year round and which is a partially refundable loan with very advantageous conditions: with a 1-year Euribor fixed interest rate, return of 7 to 10 years, including a grace period between 2 and 3 years, non-refundable tranche of 30% of the aid. CDTI anticipates 35% of the aid with a limit of 250,000 euros, without requiring additional guarantees.R&D projects are considered to be those aimed at the creation and/or substantial improvement of a production procedure, product or service, comprising both industrial research and experimental development activities. As for the sector or technology, there are no restrictions. PID funding line, finances personnel costs; instrument and material costs; contractual research costs, technical knowledge and acquired patents, consulting and equivalent services; general expenses for supplements and other expenses derived from the project. It also finances the expense derived from the auditor's report.The help of CDTI PID, has a non-refundable tranche that is calculated on a loan of up to 85% of the total budget approved by the Board of Directors.CDTI proposes the call for PID as an incentive aid, modifying the behavior of companies in terms of the degree of innovation and the resources available to carry it out. In order to submit a project in cooperation mode, the companies involved will be required to formalize an economic interest group (IEA) or through the formalization of a private collaboration agreement that serves as a guide for the consortium.3 · International Technological Cooperation R&D Projects: when they are projects presented by Spanish companies that in turn participate in international technological cooperation programs managed by the same CDTI; Multilateral programs such as EUREKA, IBEROEKA, and PRIMA; Bilateral programs established by CDTI with some Institutions and Funding Agencies from other countries; International project programs with certification and unilateral monitoring by CDTI.4 · European Technological Cooperation Projects: when they are projects related to the technological empowerment of Spanish companies when it comes to participating in European initiatives and projects such as; Important Projects of Common European Interest (PIICE); Joint Technology Initiatives (JTI) Projects and Projects derived from Eranet's calls.5 · International Technological Training R&D Projects: when they are projects related to strengthening the technological capacity of Spanish companies to participate in tenders for projects and programs managed by international organizations in which CDTI plays a leading role of Spanish representation or programs with which CDTI has collaboration agreements.
