Starter Business Acceleration, the program for energy startups, has extended the registration deadline to April 20. The program, created by EDP, aims to group the different instruments to promote the business environment in relation to sustainable development, energy products and solutions, among others. The program, created by EDP to unify the various instruments to support the group's entrepreneurship, reinforces this year its position as a business accelerator with startups and SMEs.
“Starter Business Acceleration is EDP's call to action to startups and SMEs around the world that have developed innovative products, services or business models in line with our strategy aimed at decarbonization, decentralization and digitalization. We are committed to open innovation and we couldn't be more satisfied with the results achieved”, says the Director of Innovation at EDP, Carla Pimenta.
The program will have modules in three cities: São Paulo, Brazil, from June 30 to July 2; Houston, United States, between July 21 and 23; and Vienna, Austria, from September 16 to 18. The categories available to submit projects are divided into different topics: smart grids, access to energy, clean energy, innovative internal processes, solutions for customers, digital innovation and energy storage. The winner will be chosen around the ten finalist projects, the winner will be announced in November during the Web Summit in Lisbon, with a figure of 50 thousand euros.
