The Energy Institute of Galicia (INEGA) has published the call for grants “Energy savings and efficiency projects for companies in the industrial and service sectors”.
This is a grant in the form of a non-refundable grant that subsidizes the following actions: - Investments in replacement or improvement of equipment and facilities that consume energy in the industrial sector's production process, as well as auxiliary systems necessary for their operation, for equipment and facilities that use high-efficiency technology or the best available technology. The minimum energy savings required to be subsidized must represent 5% of initial consumption.- The renovation or improvement of equipment in existing heat and cold production facilities designed to meet people's demand for well-being or hygiene, with others of high energy efficiency, selected on the basis of greater energy performance. The minimum energy savings required to be eligible must be 20% compared to initial consumption. -The improvement of the energy efficiency of existing light installations that are associated with an annual reduction of at least 40% compared to the initial consumption in lighting.- Investments in replacement or improvement of energy-consuming equipment and facilities in the service sector, by equipment and installations that use high-efficiency technology or the best technology that provides a minimum energy savings of 20% compared to initial consumption.- In order to contribute to the verification of energy results, it will be subsidize the implementation of measures for accounting and remote management of energy consumption. Even the implementation of advanced system services with big data and artificial intelligence applied to the optimization of energy consumption may be a subsidized action. Energy audits that include in detail the subsidized action and the implementation of energy management systems certified in accordance with Standard ESO 50.0001 will also be so.
Who are these Galician grants aimed at?
To legally constituted companies and independent entrepreneurs with registered office in Galicia. This includes the service or industry sector. Energy service companies that fully or partially manage energy consuming facilities and in which the purpose of these service contracts is the achievement of economic savings through lower energy consumption.
