After the launch of the urgent Eureka initiative associated with the Covid-19 Virus, the call has been divided into two calls for project grants: Eureka Covid-19 Call and Eureka Post Covid-19 Call.
EUREKA Covid-19 call
Eureka's first call was designed to support projects that respond to the needs derived from the current Covid-19 situation and closed its application deadline last Friday, May 15.
EUREKA Post Covid-19 Call
The second Eureka Post Covid-19 call has as its main objective respond to the future challenges of facing new situations of diseases with a high degree of contagion and impact on human beings. Both calls are designed so that proposals are led by companies. However, they are not the only type of actors or entities that can be presented, this will depend on the national aid tools that each of the countries uses to support the projects. In the case of CDTI, for Spanish projects, one of the following grants can be obtained:
Type of grant: both companies and technology centers can be beneficiaries, with the possibility of outsourcing from other entities as well. Type of credit: in this case, they can support companies (of any size). Technology centers and universities must participate in the project as subcontractors or assume the self-financing of their partition. Grants in the form of credit are both the line of R&D projects and that of innovation.
