Industrial Doctorate grants, on the other hand, provide support for carrying out industrial research or experimental development projects in companies, in which a doctoral thesis is framed.

To promote the professional career of research staff, as well as to stimulate the demand in the private sector for personnel sufficiently prepared to undertake R&D plans and projects, and to help consolidate newly created technology companies.

Non-refundable grants under competitive competition.
The intensity of the aid will vary between 25 and 70% of the wage cost and will be determined according to the type of project and the type of entity. The maximum intensities will be attributed according to the following scheme:
For industrial research projects:
- Small businesses: 70%
- Medium-sized companies: 60%
- Large companies: 50%
For feasibility studies:
- Small businesses: 70%
- Medium-sized companies: 60%
- Large companies: 50%
For experimental development projects:
- Small businesses: 45%
- Medium-sized companies: 35%
- Large companies: 25%
Beneficiaries
Companies (whether SMEs or large companies), technological research support centers (at the state level), business associations and science and technology parks.
Main requirements
- Contracted researchers must be in possession of the Doctor's degree at the date of submission of the application. The contracting of them must be effective after 23/02/2023 and before 20 days after the resolution of the concession.
- The contract must have an indefinite duration and be full-time. -Up to three applications can be submitted per requesting entity. Each of the requests must be aimed at hiring a different researcher and must correspond to a clearly different project or action.

- Technical feasibility studies prior to industrial research activities.
- Projects of technological development.
- Technical feasibility studies prior to technological development activities.
Eligible costs
Only the costs corresponding to salary and the business share of Social Security of the hired researchers, whose jobs are located in Spain. The maximum bankable budget will be 55,000€ per year, with a minimum gross salary of 25,350€. The salary of each of the contracted doctors may be subsidized for a maximum period of 3 years.
The grants must have an incentive effect, so it will be necessary to justify that the R&D activities carried out by the Doctor are additional to the normal activity of the company prior to hiring.
